"The administration and teachers at the Sunview Children's Workshop have become part of our extended family. It's comforting to know that our children are learning and being loved while we are working."

The Children’s Workshop teachers are passionate about helping your young children grow and learn by providing educational support that encourages them to actively explore and interact with their surroundings as they develop socially, emotionally, physically, intellectually, and creatively.

Our teachers prepare lessons that introduce concepts of reading, writing, math, and creative arts. Pre-reading strategies such as letter identification and sounds, math skills such as counting and number identification, and fine motor activities that prepare for writing are a few important skills presented. Learning centers are implemented and often change according to the week’s theme. Teachers read and discuss picture books and present lessons that include learning about family, community, and nature.

Because we are caring for children, it is imperative that the care we provide is consistently the highest quality. Our teaching staff meets or exceeds the state’s requirements on education and experience. All new teachers are required to complete a series of staff training modules. Teacher training is ongoing through staff meetings, CWELC teacher workshops, college classes, and community training classes. All staff members are screened using finger print/CBI checks and personal and professional references.
